In Allison's own words:

“…music evokes passion and emotion in me like nothing else. I suffer from a sense of incompleteness if music is not part of my life.”  

Allison has loved singing since she was a young child.  She sharpened her vocal skills in high school while performing in choir and musical theater.  She continued singing in her adult years in jazz vocal ensembles, musicals and cover bands. She minored in music in graduate school, and took private bass, guitar and piano lessons.  

But it was vocal performance training that helped her gain the confidence to pursue singing lead. Although she loves fronting bands and singing whenever there is an opportunity to do so, singing harmony with other great vocalists is what she enjoys most! Her musical influences span pop, rock, country, swamp/roots rock, Americana and blues.

In recent years, Allison has focused on songwriting and production at her home studio, and launching her duo The Augustinas and her band Allie & the Swamp Hawks!
